Frequently Asked Questions
We operate independently of insurance networks. Our direct-pay model allows us to offer transparent pricing, longer visits, and personalized care without the restrictions and delays that often come with insurance. However, we are happy to provide you with a detailed superbill after your visit that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider beforehand to understand your out-of-network benefits.
Initial consultations are now $125. Follow-up visits are $50. We’re always happy to provide upfront pricing so there are no surprises.
Yes! Even though we don't bill insurance for your visit, your medications and lab work can usually still go through your insurance just like they would with any other provider. We always recommend double-checking with your insurance company to be sure about your specific benefits.
Yes! After your virtual consultation, we can prescribe both topical and oral as well as injectable medications when appropriate. Your prescription will be sent electronically to your preferred local pharmacy for easy pickup.
While many skin conditions can be safely and effectively managed through virtual care, there are some situations where an in-person evaluation is best. These include concerns like rapidly changing moles, suspected skin cancers, complex rashes, or conditions requiring immediate procedures such as biopsies. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to guide you on whether a virtual visit is right for your needs!
All you need is a device with a camera — like a smartphone, tablet, or computer — and a stable internet connection. We recommend finding a well-lit space for your visit so we can clearly see your skin during the consultation. After booking, we’ll send simple instructions to make logging in easy!

In accordance with Medicare regulations, neither you nor our practice may submit a claim to Medicare for reimbursement for any services provided. By receiving care, you agree to pay out of pocket, understanding that these services are not covered or reimbursable by Medicare.
Under Washington State law, Medicaid members are not permitted to pay out-of-pocket for services that are covered by Medicaid (Apple Health)

A Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) has completed additional specialized certification in dermatology beyond general nurse practitioner training. It's one of the highest credentials available for NPs practicing in skin care, and Gigi is among a small number of providers in the country who hold it.
